Australia transportation of dogs for permanent residence

Australia transportation of dogs for permanent residence h1>
I decided to update the situation a little.
I want to draw attention here to the general dog-like attention to these changes and to describe the official requirements for the import procedure. Simplified. Complete requirements you will find on the link below.
And here I will describe the main points that relate to the movement of your pet in space.
1) The very separate procedure.
Previously, for dogs from non-approved countries (including Ukraine and Russia) there was only one way: through the countries of the third category on common grounds with them. That is, it was necessary to confuse the move of the animal in one of the “category 3 Countries” and there already sawed the points as for them it was painted. And it took at least half a year.
Now, there is a separate, special procedure for non-aproved countries that try to import animals through third-category countries. The link above.
And all the charm is that.
This is the most important and iridescent change that everyone is waiting for.
And, in principle, there is no such need from the previous version. But. see point 3.
Of course, in the event that you already have the vaccinations, or you can put them in high quality and you are sure of the results of the tests on these vaccinations.
And yet, if you have the opportunity to take the blood for analysis “here”, but on the analysis itself, send it “there.” It is important.
I’ll try to explain how now you can not leave at all until the last 1-1.5 months before sending.
To do this, let’s see how the whole procedure changed over time.
(if you found a description of this scheme, then it is no longer valid)
Previously, it was necessary to send the dog to one of the “category 3 Countries”, where she was given a new passport, made a chip (if not yet), put inoculation against rabies and from this moment began to tick the 6 months that your pet was supposed to spend in this very country without leaving it. And only then came the last month of analysis and procedures, after which the road to Australia was opened, where you still had at least 1 month of quarantine.
(this option is still acceptable and valid)
Over time, the procedure was slightly facilitated, removing the point about the need to stay in that very country. However, there was a requirement that all vaccinations should be made in one of the “category 3 Countries”.
It looked like this: the dog goes to one of the “category 3 Countries”, where a rabies vaccine is given and a blood test for antibodies is taken at an acceptable time. After that, you could go home with your dog “home to your grandmother,” live as you used to, and only 1-1.5 months before the actual departure, you had to return the dog to the same one of the “category 3 Countries” where you intended the animal to be exported .
In addition, the time spent in quarantine on the Australian side has been reduced from at least 30 days to at least 10 days, which can not but rejoice.
It seems good, but a +1 trip, which I would like to avoid.
How it looks now:
(and what if you succeed?)
Now the dog owners had the opportunity not to go for the initial vaccination in the country of the expected export for half a year before the date. That is, do not torment the dog with an unnecessary move / flight. Well, time to save a lot.
But this is how it looks now:
1) Inoculation against rabies is done in itself, in its non-approved country, by your favorite physician and method. perhaps this vaccine in your pet already exists and you are ready right now to take the blood for an antibody test. gorgeous!
2) the blood on the RNAT test is allowed to take away from itself, in its non-approved country!
3) but then you are suggested to be confused with sending blood to the analysis itself in one of three places to choose from.
Australian Animal Health Laboratory (they have many branches, one of them in France) One of the OIE Rabies Reference Laboratory (close to Ukraine is in Poland., See Russia in the list) a laboratory approved by the government of the designated approved country of export. Everything is clear here. The general rational conclusion suggests this: if you send blood to any of these places for analysis, it’s at least a little cheaper and faster than you and your dog are dragged to these places (or send a dog), then it’s worth it.
Another question is that you will have to be puzzled and find those who organize the delivery of biomaterial to these places at the right time. The fridge and everything. That for some regions, it is necessary to admit, is not possible.
5) for 4 weeks or slightly more than the date of the expected export, the dog is sent to the country of export (one of the “category 3 Countries”) where she will be given another test (the same one), but already there. If the test is successful, then the dog will be vaccinated against rabies on the spot (apparently, just in case) and then all the standard tests / vaccinations that were suggested earlier in the last 4 weeks before the flight.
Who will be the first to find a service that can organize the dispatch of dog blood to Europe – share.

For those who do not read the official procedure for the link from above.
In the official procedure it is written for how much it is recommended to send the animal to Category 3 country.
Minimum of 4 weeks (1 month) before the expected date of departure.
RNATT test (should be good, can be done immediately upon arrival) Re-vaccination against rabies (on the same day when blood was taken to RNATT) Immunizations DHPPi, B full course (2 vaccinations, one 2 weeks after another, the last not earlier than 2 weeks before departure)
OR, it is necessary that they are already and were considered valid for the whole period of stay + quarantine in Australia (and MUST be done in Category 3 country) Documents for RNATT test and vaccination against rabies Treatment of external parasites Test for Ehrlichia canis, at least 21 days after treatment from external parasites, no more than 45 days before export Test for Brucella canis (Brucellosis) or documentary confirmation of the sterilization of the dog. No more than 45 days before the export Leishmania infantum (Leishmaniosis) test no more than 45 days before the export Leptospira canicola test (Leptospirosis) no more than 45 days before export. Special treatment for dogs visiting Africa (2 injections, not more than 28 days before departure) Harvesting of worms (twice, with an interval of 2 weeks, both times must be within 45 days before departure, last time must fall within the last 5 days before export) Preliminary examination (within 5 days before departure) Preparation of a veterinary certificate (within 5 days prior to departure) As can be seen, the procedures are many .
For this reason, I plan my dog to try for 40-45 days before departure in Category 3 country to send. There are not many queue-delayed delays there. I do not want that because of the stupid delay somewhere the dog missed the plane or something else.
From OIE Rabies Reference Laboratory only Germany, France, Great Britain (from European countries).
Still can not find a carrier. Somehow everything is complicated.
Maybe someone already has experience with the new rules?
Send in response to the request form-application and another license for import. All this must be filled in and sent to them, and the license must be attached in a transparent envelope to the parcel, there all this is written.
Payment or check must attach a bank, or on the card. In the second case, the lab needs map details, which also fit into the form.
Find out in your bank, if special cards for payment on the Internet, just order this, load on it the exceptionally necessary amount and safely write its data into the form.
Also, in response to our questions about how best to send, in the laboratory they told us that they receive samples using DHL, UPS, and all sorts of FedEx. And everything, sort of like, comes and always is okay.
Tubes are sold in Ukraine, but by some huge batches for laboratories. Find a sane clinic that would agree to sell us a test tube took a long time.
Serum. To make the serum of an animal take blood, defend it, then centrifuge. Our dog took 2ml of blood, because he did not climb into a test tube for a centrifuge anymore. However, the serum obtained from this is less than 1 ml. Advice for the future: insist that the blood is taken in reserve, in several test tubes. It’s better than double-digging a poor animal.
We phoned FedEx directly to Britain, and they said that there should be no problems and that their Ukrainian colleagues should take everything and deliver it.
Sending from the federation for certain days is only urgent. And only until some time. Therefore, we agreed in the clinic for a certain day and time to immediately take out the serum on production and send it to the federation.
Fedex does not allow packets with ordinary ice to be packed in the parcel. But you can use special coolers. They are expensive (for some reason). We hurried, we were sent without them. I think if you take care of the matter in advance, you can send it with a cooler.
Do not freeze serum! Only cool to +4 approximately.
At us in general has departed without cooling.
The vaccination day is “zero”.
Almost 6 whole international units per milliliter with 0.5 allowable.
Hooray! Our dog is going.
1000 shipping costs to Britain and about 100 travels across Ukraine)
The company “Elin LTD” (as it is written on the check), representatives of FedEx in Ukraine.
Can anybody orient at the price of staying an animal a month in England with all the vaccinations and so on? How much will transportation cost to England from Moscow and from England to Australia? How does all this happen?
Perhaps there are companies that do this?
I thought about moving with my samoyedka and I do not even know what to grab for now. (

I estimate of course, where without it)
I read articles like dogs in Australia live – correct if not right – but we do not care about people either)
In Moscow, in the heat did not complain with my skin) I think all dogs are tied, but I think psychologically it will outlive it.

take care, of course take care – only your dog bucks 200 per month will eat grubby + all sorts of anti-wrinkles + anti-wrists + grafts and so on.
All that the veterinarian is understandable – we also go to Moscow and drink medicines.
As for the heat, I read about the Samoyeds that they take root in Australia, we will cope. The main thing is to get there.
